The last two years have seen rain on the first part of the event so bring your wet weather gear. Holsteiners Qld Inc are sponsoring one of the Elementary tests The State Equestrian Centre at Caboolture – Progress Report The main frame for the Indoor is up and hopefully next years Dressage Championships will be held there. The Indoor is situated between the Caboolture showgrounds and the Historical Village, and close to the main road.The Stables are yet to be built. To help recoup some of the funds council will also make the venue available to activies other than equestrian sports so if you plan on holding an equestrian event you will really need to get in early and book the venue. Dressage Festival Hugely successful this year and I think everyone would have gone home happy, lots of sale items at the many saddlery stores represented and even some well known saddlery stores making the trek north from interstate. The lectures were interesting and informative not just for the novice but also for the more advanced riders. It is a great venue Thornlands Indoor, with lots of ‘atmosphere’ and I will be one of the many that will miss the delicious food available at their restaurant when the Festival moves to the State Equestrian Centre but at the rate that the Festival is growing each year, it will be a bit of a squeeze next year. One of the Highlights was the fashion parade with some of our dressage team taking part proving that they too can “walk the walk”!!!. Holsteiners Qld was there with the stand to meet and greet new members and chat with existing members.
